Although she was born and raised in Iowa, Heather has been traveling the world since she was a foreign exchange student during her high school years. Her passion for photography started at an early age and developed while traveling with her backpack after college to remote areas of Southeast Asia, Australia and New Zealand. What use to be a hobby turned into art on a trip to England in May of 1995. She borrowed a Nikon SLR from her mother and the photographs of Big Ben and English taxis are two of her favorite pieces yet today. In recent years she has traveled to Prague, Turkey, Germany, Croatia, Greece and Mexico with her camera in tow looking for the next photo safari. In 2008 she accompanied the Associates for Biblical Research in Jerusalem as the expedition’s photographer. In 2009 her travels took her to Kenya for a safari and mission trip.
Heather has been a professional photographer since 2004 focusing on a wide range of interests including people, architecture, nature and event photography. Her artwork can be found in private collections and numerous places around the Metroplex including Stoddard Northam PLLC, Dykema Gossett Law Firm and numerous Baylor Hospitals including Grapevine & Irving.
